" La Chansonnette“
means the French Chanson singer
and that’s me!
My new concert program is paying tribute to the most iconic French songs by Edith Piaf.
When I first saw the movie about the life of Edith at the age of 14, I was so touched by her voice and her life that I immediately started to learn the song „Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien“.
2 days later in School my French teacher had a karaoke CD and wanted us to sing some French songs together. There I saw the song I’ve just learned and said that I would like to try this one.
When I started to sing she had tears in her eyes and said to me: Melissa this is what you need to do…share your talent with the world! Well now…that’s what I’m doing now!
It all started with „Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien“
Then I created a first musical where I played Edith Piaf in Avignon (France) where I lived for nearly 10 years.

The agency Clear Music was searching for someone who could interpret “Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien” exactly like Édith Piaf — and they found me on YouTube.
After listening to countless covers online, they told me they couldn’t believe it was truly my voice. They even compared my version with Piaf’s original several times!
Now, I’m thrilled to share that we’ve officially released the song on all streaming platforms.
From intimate duo performances with my pianist to full band shows, each concert is crafted to create a unique atmosphere. Accompanied by graceful dancers, I bring the enchanting spirit of Édith Piaf to life — and with it, the unmistakable charm of Paris.
